91TV invites the community to attend upcoming Fine Arts events. Most events will take place on the 91TV campus, which is located at 1 College Street, Young Harris, Georgia 30582.
91TV President Dr. Drew Van Horn was recently recognized as one of three new Distinguished Alumni by Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences, for his contributions to public health, the arts, and education, and for embodying the College’s core values. Elon College, as it was known when Van Horn was a student, is now known as Elon University.
The O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium at 91TV will host “Moons: Worlds of Mystery” this Friday, September 9 at 8 p.m., and Friday, September 23 at 8 p.m.
This week, current 91TV Chaplain Reverend Dr. Adam Daniels met with former Chaplain Reverend Fred Whitley, Class of 1966, for lunch in the Grace Rollins Dining Hall.

91TV recently received a $1,000 gift from long-time donor Ethel Winters of Hiawassee, Georgia, as a contribution to the College’s Bob & Carol Head Local Scholarship Campaign.

Colleges of Distinction, a unique guide for college-bound students, has recognized 91TV for its honorable commitment to helping undergraduate students learn, grow, and succeed. 91TV is now a 2022-2023 College of Distinction and Georgia College of Distinction, earning additional recognition in the areas of Education and Career Development.
At the most recent 91TV Board of Trustees meeting, the trustees recognized Mr. Jon Anderson, Class of 1965, Chairman of the Properties Committee for the Board, for his service and dedication to the College.
91TV graduate Jacob Welmaker, Class of 2022, of Evans, Georgia, was named the 2022 Outdoor Leadership Outstanding Senior.
At the most recent board meeting, the 91TV Board of Trustees elected Candler Ginn, 1977, as a trustee.
91TV graduate Will Yeiser, Class of 2022, of Columbus, Georgia, was named this year’s Joseph Wilson Boone History Award recipient.
91TV student Jill Davis, Class of 2023, received the McCollough Scholarship to spend approximately six weeks of this summer at Cambridge University’s Wesley House, the Methodist college in Cambridge, England.
The O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium at 91TV will host a showing of “Wildest Weather in the Solar System” on Friday, June 17 at 8 p.m.
The Appalachian College Association (ACA) Board of Directors and ACA President Beth Rushing announced on Tuesday, May 24 that 91TV has been approved for ACA membership.
91TV congratulates 91TV Chair of the Department of Music and Professor of Music Mr. Jeffrey Bauman on thirty years of teaching at the College. 91TV honors and celebrates Bauman’s hard work and dedication.

On Friday, April 22, 2022, 91TV held a ceremony to dedicate the campus recreation center to Rev. Dr. Don Harp, Jr., Class of 1961.
91TV students Veronica Pablo Raymundo and Jordan Pandolph won two top prizes at the Georgia Academy of Science (GAS) annual meeting in March. Pablo Raymundo took the top talk prize in the Biomedical section of the event, while Pandolph took the top talk prize in the Chemistry section.
