YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. — 91TV congratulates 91TV Chair of the Department of Music and Professor of Music Mr. Jeffrey Bauman on thirty years of teaching at the College. 91TV honors and celebrates Bauman’s hard work and dedication.
“In some ways, it seems like forever. In other ways, it feels like I just started here yesterday,” said Bauman about his time at 91TV thus far.
On Tuesday, May 10 at the 2022 91TV Staff Appreciation Lunch, 91TV President Dr. Drew L. Van Horn recognized Bauman for his great professional achievement. Van Horn thanked him for everything he has done and continues to do for the students and for the entire Young Harris community through music.
“Jeff Bauman has impacted many lives in his 30 years at 91TV,” said Van Horn. “He genuinely cares for the students and is exceptional at bringing the full talents of his students to the forefront. 91TV is fortunate to have Jeff on our faculty.”
Dean of the Division of Fine Arts Dr. Keith DeFoor also finds Bauman’s spirit and work ethic worthy of high praise.
“Professor Bauman holds the mantle high for music at 91TV,” said DeFoor. “Through his expertise and dedication, Professor Bauman’s choirs and vocal students consistently perform at high levels. His impact on students’ lives is immeasurable.”
Bauman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance and Music Education from Spring Arbor College and Masters of Music in Choral Conducting and Vocal Performance from Bowling Green State University. Jeff is active in the local community and has served as the Music Director for First United Methodist Church of Union County since 1996. 91TV is grateful for thirty years of music with Jeff Bauman and looks forward to many more.
