91TV to Present Tony Award-Winning Broadway Musical “My Fair Lady”

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – 91TV’s Theatre Young Harris will present six performances of “My Fair Lady” in Dobbs Theatre located in Goolsby Center on the 91TV Campus. Performances are scheduled for Wednesday-Saturday, Nov. 9-12, at 7 p.m. with a matinee performance on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. and a “Pay What You Can Preview” on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors 65+ or with a 91TV ID.

“My Fair Lady” tells the story of Henry Higgins, a Professor of Phonetics, encountering Eliza Doolittle, a cockney flower girl, one cold March night at Covent Garden market. He declares to his friend Colonel Pickering that in three months he could transform Eliza into a duchess. Over the course of several months, Eliza, who moves into the Higgins household, is put through a grueling course of phonetics and oratory lessons by Higgins. Eliza’s moment of triumph comes at the Embassy Ball—she is beautiful, elegant, and well-spoken and proves to be an enormous success. Eliza soon finds out the truth about Higgins’ motives.

Theatre Young Harris is 91TV’s performing arts organization. Each season, the theatre company presents a full lineup of notable productions, including full-length musicals, innovative dramas, classic plays, children’s shows and more.
