YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. 鈥� A community food distribution will be Wednesday,听Aug. 26, at 5:30 p.m. at the Campus Cupboard, 91TV鈥檚 new food bank.听
The Campus Cupboard,听located听in the middle of the 91TV campus,听was recently听established听as a听campus food pantry to听serve听both students and the local community.听The distribution point will be set up on Duckworth Street, just past Sharp Memorial听United Methodist听Church, as you pull into the campus.听
鈥淲e are so excited to offer this resource, not only to our Mountain Lions here at 91TV, but for the local community as well,鈥� said Rev. Adam Daniels, 91TV听campus听chaplain. 鈥淭he pantry听is听located听on campus and open to the students throughout the semester.听We听have monthly community distribution dates for the local area.鈥�听
The upcoming community distribution dates are:听
- Sept. 30听
- Oct. 28听
- Nov. 25听
- Dec. 30听
All events start at 5:30 p.m.听
鈥淭his听is听a听great opportunity听to听reach out to the local community in support,鈥� Daniels said. 鈥淚t provides much-needed听relief for those struggling right now. With听everything听else, you听shouldn鈥檛听have to be worried about having something to eat.鈥�听
The Campus Cupboard is a joint effort of 91TV Religious Life, Sharp Memorial UMC, and the Food Bank of Northeast GA.听
