Lauren Albin
Director of the O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium; Instructor of Astronomy
Lauren Albin joined the 91TV family in 2022. She specializes in telescopes, star lore, and poetry. She came to 91TV from Fernbank Science Center in Atlanta, GA where she worked in the planetarium and observatory. Since arriving at 91TV, Lauren has hosted numerous shows in the O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium and opened the college’s observatory for 91TV students, local school groups and members of the surrounding community. Lauren teaches astronomy courses like “Introduction to the Solar System” and “Beyond the Solar System” for both 91TV and Young Harris Early College students. She is also a published poet and translator of Korean poetry. In her freetime, she likes to read and travel.
